  The Compiling and Digitization of the Vegetation Map of the People’s Republic of China (1:1000000) won second prize of the State Natural Science Award

  On Feburary 14, State Top Science and Tecknology Award Ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing. The Compiling and Digitization of the “Vegetation Map of the People’s Republic of China (1:1000000)”, whichwas mainly completed by the researchers ofInstitute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences(IBCAS) won the second place prize of the State Natural Sciences Award.

  On Dec.6, two academicians of National Academy of Sciences Republic of , Korea, Dr. Yong Hae Kim of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and Dr.Young Choong Kim of Seoul National University came topaid a visit to the Institute of Botany, upon the invitation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
