  A new subtropical forest research station and a new collaborate research center of IOB was established

  the opening ceremony of a new filed station of Institute of Botany (IOB), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Research Station of Forestry Biodiversity and Climatic Change at the Gutianshan, was held at Gutianshan National Nature Reserve, Kaihua, Zhejiang, China. At the same time, the opening ceremony of a joint research center, China Reginal Climatic Research Center was held. The research center was co-sponsored by three organizations, HSBC, Earthwatch Institute and IOB.
