IBCAS joined the 2024 Chinese Arctic Scientific Research ExpeditionFrom July 2 to July 20, 2024, Dr. YANG Jian from the Institute of Botany, CAS, embarked on a visit to the Chinese Arctic Yellow River Station in Ny-Alesund, Svalbard, to conduct a vegetation survey in the region. The Chinese Arctic Yellow River Station is China's first scientific research station in the Arctic region. The 20th International Botanical Congress Convenes in SpainThe 20th International Botanical Congress (IBC 2024) has begun in Madrid, Spain, with the Nomenclature Section running from July 15-19, 2024, followed by the main Congress from July 21-27, 2024. This global event is held every six years under the guidance of the International Association for Botanical and Mycological Societies (IABMS). Initially, the 20th Congress was scheduled to take place in Brazil in 2023, following the 2017 Congress in Shenzhen, China. However, the global pandemic prevented the 2023 meeting in Brazil.
