The China-UK Workshop on Cereals, Biomass and Biofuels was held at the Institute of Botany, CAS from March 6th to 7th, 2015..Prof. Hai-Chun Jing, the head of research governance office, IBCAS, hosted the workshop, and Prof.Trevor Wang from John Innes Centre made the opening remarks.
There are over 60 scientists and graduate students from CAS institutes and universities attending the workshop. In the two-day’s meeting, four themes were discussed: yield and biomass; 2, metabolism and development; 3, genetics and genomics; 4, platforms for biofuel crop.
The workshop was supported by UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and Institute of Botany, CAS. Scientists and scholars from John Innes Centre (JIC), Rothamsted Research (RRes), and Aberystwyth University (UWA), UK.
