On March 3, a three-people delegation from DuPont Company came to the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IB-CAS), to award Prof. Feng Qin the award of DuPon Young Professor Grant. Prof. Lixin Zhang, the Deputy Director of IB-CAS, hosted the delegation: Tom Greene, the Senior Research Director, Bo Shen, the Senior Research Manager and Guihua Lu, the Deputy General Manager of SINOBIOWAY-PGR).
Prof. Feng Qin is dedicated in the research of gene cloning of plant drought response and tolerance, especially in maize. She has published many research papers in peer-reviewed journals such as The Plant Cell, PLoS Genetics, Nucleic Acids Research, etc. To recognize her innovative scientific work, she was awarded by DuPont Young Professor Grant in May 2014.
