The “International Symposium on the Regulation of Photosynthetic Function” was held in Guilin, Guangxi Province, China from August 16-19, 2014. A total amount of 130 graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and renowned scientists throughout the world attended the symposium.
The theme of this symposium was “molecular mechanism of photosynthetic function”. It included four sessions: photosynthetic electron transfer and energy conversion, photosynthetic membrane protein complex structure and function, chloroplast development and gene expression, and photosynthesis and the environment. Altogether 27 invited speakers delivered excellent talks on the latest achievements in photosynthetic regulation.
During the symposium 69 abstracts and 23 posters were received, and 3 posters were awarded for their remarkable work.
Prior to the symposium, a workshop on chlorophyll fluorescence was held.
