To strengthen the cooperation between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and SE Asian relative research institutions, a delegation led by CAS President BAI Chunli visited Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Nepal from 31 March to 9 April. Prof. GE Song, the Deputy Director of the IB-CAS and Prof. ZHANG Xianchun, the Curator of National Herbarium, accompanied the visit to Indonesia from 3 April to 6 April. Prof. GE and Prof. ZHANG also visited the Research Center for Biology (RCB) of Indonesian Institute of Sciences and Herbarium Bogoriense (BO), to discuss the scientific collaboration with RCB. During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed by IB-CAS and RCB of Indonesian Institute of Sciences to enhance cooperation on the Reconstruction of Tree of Life, joint botanical expedition, exchange of duplicate specimens and collaborative training of Indonesian young taxonomists, etc.
