A Korea delegation of six people paid a visit to Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IB-CAS hereinafter) On Nov.11, 2013.
Dr. ZHANG Lixin, Deputy Director of IB-CAS, hosted the visit and delivered a brief introduction on the history, people and researches of IBCAS. Dr. Kim Rae-Soo from Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, Dr. Jae Cheol Jeong From Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Dr. Shin Suk Kyung from National Research Foundation of Korea Beijing Office, Mrs. ZHAO Jing-Mei from Korea-China Science &technology Cooperation Center, and Prof. JIN Jingbo and Dr. LENG Jing from IBCAS joined the meeting. They had a warm discussion on several hot topics such as environmental pollution and the measure to increase SCI index, etc.
The delegation will stay in China for about one week. Their main purpose is to learn about Chinese government's policy to support plant research, the research development of main cultivated species and genomic markers, and to explore potential opportunities for cooperation on plant resources between the two countries.
