China-Aid Project “the International Training Course for Establishment and Management of Field Research Station” Ended Successfully on 22 July in Beijing

Collective picture for participants and staffs of training course


   Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China, undertaken by Institute of Botany, the China-Aid Project “the International Training Course for Establishment and Management of Field Research Station” started on 23 June and ended successfully on 22 July in Beijing.

  There are 21 participants from 15 countries took part in this training program. During the 30-day course including indoor lectures and field trip, participants got comprehensive understanding in: current development China’s modernization, ongoing work of China on the establishment and management of ecosystem research stations, briefings of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN), Chinese National Ecosystem Observation and Research Network (CEORN), and Chinese biodiversity monitoring network.

  Even thought it’s the first time for Institute of Botany to hold such an international training course, under the co-organization by Institute of Botany and the headquarters of CAS, the training course was completed successfully as the schedule. This training course is also a beginning to set up the contacts between Institute of Botany and institutions from other countries, and the subsequent cooperation should be considered in the near future.
