Journal of Plant Ecology (JPE) is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal of plant ecology. JPE serves as an important medium for ecologists to present research findings and discuss challenging issues in the broad field of plants and their interactions with biotic and biotic environments. JPE publishes original research articles, reviews and short communications, and includes special issues/features focusing on the frontiers in plant ecology. JPE is sponsored by the Botanical Society of China and IOB and is published by Oxford University Press, UK. 

In 2009, Journal of Plant Ecology (JPE) was indexed by SCI-E、Biological Abstracts、BIOSIS Previews. All papers published in JPE can be searched in these database.
